Where found

Forest, often on rocky ridges and on along streams. Ranges west and north of Sydney. One sighting between Wollongong and Kiama.

Notes

Shrub or tree to 7 m tall. Fleshy seed stalks/arils. Bark smooth. Branchlets angled or flattened, hairless, sometimes glaucous, dark red. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, usually 5-14 cm long, 7-20 mm wide, hairless, with a prominent midvein, tips pointed with a mucro. Flower heads pale yellow to creamy white, globular, 4-8 mm in diameter, 20-45 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), in elongated clusters of 5-22 flower heads. Flowering: usually April–September.

Family was Mimosaceae.
