Where found

Forest, woodland, and grassy areas. Tablelands, Western Slopes, and western Snowy Mountians from Lyndhurst (north east of Cowra) to south of Wagga Wagga, and east to NW of Crookwell. Mainly between Booroowa and the Tumut district.

Notes

Perennial herb to about 0.6 m high. Stems scarcely winged, more or less woolly. Basal leaves in a rosette, 3–12 cm long, 10–17 mm wide, upper surface hairy, lower surface white and woolly, tips pointed. Stem leaves few, smaller. Flower heads yellow, hemispherical, about 10–20 mm in diameter, with 0 petals, single. Florets yellow. Flowering: spring to summer.
