Where found

Woodland, remnant bushland on roadsides, and rocky places. Tablelands between Nimmitabel and Bungonia State Conservation Area.

Notes

Shrub to 2.5 m tall. Stems hairless, with conspicuous yellow lenticels. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.45-0.75 cm long, about 0.5 mm wide, keeled, tips blunt and often curved, surfaces smooth, hairless. Young leaves glaucous, becoming bluish green to green with age. Standard petal 4.5-5.5 mm long, 9-11 mm wide. Flowers pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, yellow with red markings. Keel red. Flowers single, in the axils of the upper leaves. Flowers Spring to Summer.

In all species of Dillwynia, the standard petal is much broader than long.
