Dry forest, woodland, gullies, and rocky slopes. ACT and nearby.

Notes

Spreading shrub to 1 m high. Stems with a grey or rusty red tomentum. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.6–2.4 cm long, 3–10 mm wide, margins slightly curved down, upper surface covered in small pits, glossy, lower surface silky. Flowers with 4 'petals' joined together in pairs, 'petals' rusty red-brown to red, rusty red-brown hairy outside, bearded inside. Gynoecium 8–11 mm long, style pink to red, mostly hairless. Flower clusters many-flowered, 2–6 cm long, often hanging down. Flowering: spring-summer.

In the absence of specific information, seeds of all species of Grevillea have been keyed as having one wing.

All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
