Forest. Deua National Park, Wadbilliga National Park, and east towards Tilba Tilba. Ranges between Merimbula and Eden.

Notes

Shrub to 4 m high. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3–9 cm long, 5–22 mm wide, margins entire, shortly curved down, upper surface granular to rough, lower surface exposed, hairy. Flowers with 4 'petals' joined together in pairs, 'petals' red to apricot to pink, hairy outside, bearded inside. Gynoecium 14–17 mm long. Style hairy in the apical 2–5 mm. Flowers in loose clusters of 6–16 flowers, sometimes two or more together forming a branched cluster. Flowers August–January.  

In the absence of specific information, seeds of all species of Grevillea have been keyed as having one wing.

subsp. didymochiton:  Leaves with a length:breadth ratio of 5–7:1; lower leaf surface with spreading hairs emergent from a denser layer of appressed hairs (at 20–30 x magnification).

subsp. irrasa:  Leaves with a length:breadth ratio of 5–10:1; lower leaf surface with all hairs more or less spreading, not obviously 2-layered.
