Where found

Forest and dry and moist heath. Coast and ranges between west of Ulladulla and the Nowra district.

Notes

Shrub to more than 2 m tall. Bark rough and finely fissured, corrugated towards the base. Stems hairy with minute hairs. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 0.2-0.3 cm long, about 2 mm wide, thick, margins curved upwards, prominent glands on the lower surface, surfaces hairless; tips rounded and often with a conical point, bases broad above a short thick stalk. Flowers about 10 mm in diameter, with 5 white or pink petals about 5 mm long. Flowers Summer to Autumn. Nuts persistent, up to 8 mm in diameter, surface lifting, becoming gnarled.
