Where found

Forest, woodland, and heath, often on along streams or in rocky areas. Coast, ranges, and tablelands south from the northern end of South East Forests National Park north west of Bega.

Notes

Shrub to 3.5 m tall. Stems slightly ridged, hairy when young. Leaves alternating up the stems or opposite each other, 0.4-3 cm long, 1-4 mm wide, tips pointed, margins curved down, upper surface hairless, darker than the lower surface; lower surface usually hairy. Flowers pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel. Standard petal 11-13 mm long, yellow to orange, wings yellow to orange, keel red to purple. Bracteoles boat-shaped to linear, inserted on the calyx tube. Flowers in dense clusters. Flowers Spring. Pods sparsely hairy, smooth.
