Where found

Wet to dry forest, woodland, and heath. Coast and ranges north of Tathra.

Notes

Shrub to 2 m tall. Stems sparsely to moderately hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.3-1.5 cm long, 1-7 mm wide, tips blunt, margins curved upwards; both surfaces the same colour. Flowers 10-15 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, standard petal yellow to orange, wings yellow to (reddish) orange, sometimes with orange to red-brown stripes at the front, keel yellow to orange. Bracteoles with 3 teeth at the tips, papery, inserted on the calyx tube. Flowers in leafy clusters. Flowers Winter to Summer. Pods with a tuft of hairs at the tips.
