Where found

Dry forest, heath, and swamps. Coast, ranges, and the eastern part of the tablelands north of Milton and south of Tathra.

Notes

Shrub to 3 m tall. Stems sparsely to densely hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.5-2.6 cm long, 0.2-1.6 mm wide, concave in cross section, tips pointed and slightly curved down, margins rolled upwards or rarely curved upwards, lower surface with loosely appressed, spreading or occasionally wart-based hairs; upper surface, when visible, hairless. Flowers 7-13 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, yellow to orange with red markings, and red keels. Bracteoles linear, sticky, inserted at the base of the calyx tube to boat-shaped, or 3-toothed at the tips. Flowers in leafy clusters. Flowers Spring to summer. Pods sparsely hairy, smooth.
