Where found

Open forest, woodland and shrubland, fringing rocky outcrops. Ranges west of Eden and Pambula.

Notes

Shrub to 2 m high. Stems, leaf stalks, and the lower surface of the leaves hairy with more or less spreading tangled hairs. Leaves slightly aromatic when rubbed, in whorls of 3, 0.7–2 cm long, 5–8 mm wide, margins entire and curved down; lower surface very sparsely hairy, becoming hairless towardes the tip, upper surface and stalk moderately to densely hairy with more or less spreading, slightly tangled hairs. Flowers white to mauve with orange dots, 8–12 mm long, tubular, 2-lipped, with 5 lobes. Calyx tubular, with 5 lobes. Flowers in up to 12 flowered clusters. Flowering: throughout the year.
