Where found

Woodland and dry and wet heath. Coastal north from Jervis Bay. Ranges and tablelands north of Berry.

Notes

Perennial herb. Flower stalks to 0.61 m long, flattened to flattened cylindrical, and more or less twisted. Leaves clustered at the base of the plant,  10–31 cm long, 1.4–3.5 mm wide, basal sheath yellowish to reddish brown, 2.5–5.5 cm long; ligule more or less triangular; blades yellowish green to green, flat, linear, margins thickened and warty. Flowers yellow, with 3 petals each 5–9 mm long. Flower buds contained within a tight oval to oval brownish head 8–10 mm long, 5–6.5 mm in diameter. Flowers opening one at a time from within the flower head, rarely 2 flowers open at the same time. Flowering: Throughout much of year, the flower open thoughout most of day.
