Rhizome to 0.25 mm diam., widely creeping; hairs short, dark brown, septate. Fronds 3–20 mm long. Stipe 0.5–1 mm long, winged for most of its length, bearing short, brown hairs towards the base. Lamina ovate, oblong or obovate, 1-pinnatifid, 4–25 mm long, 2–10 mm wide. Ultimate segments 0.6–1 mm wide; apex acute or rounded; continuous submarginal false vein separated from the margin by a single row of hyaline cells; accessory false veins absent. Sori terminal on the segments, immersed; involucre bell-shaped, broadly winged, 0.5–1.2 mm long, 0.8–1 mm wide; mouth ±dilated but not bilabiate; receptacle exserted to 0.8 mm beyond the mouth.
NE QLD between Bloomfield and Tully River. Also widepsread in Asia and Malesia.
Lithophyhytic or epiphytic in mesic lower to mid montane vine forest. Usually seen near watercoarses.
