Description

Rhizome slender, glabrescent. Fronds 2.5–9 cm long. Stipe 0.5–2.5 cm long, obscurely winged, ±glabrous. Lamina oblong-elliptic, 1–2-pinnate-pinnatifid, 2–7.5 cm long, 0.8–3 cm wide; main rachis obscurely winged; pinnae widely spaced. Ultimate segments oblanceolate to elliptic, to 1.4 mm wide; margins finely toothed. Sori borne on reduced lower branches on the acroscopic side of the pinnae, mainly in the upper part of the frond; involucre ovate to narrowly ovate, bilabiate, divided to the base, 1.2–1.7 mm long, 0.6–1.3 mm wide, broader than the segment on which it is borne; margins finely toothed apically; receptacle included. 

Distribution

Endemic to high mountains in the Wet Tropics of NE QLD.

Habit and habitat

Litophytic in rocks in and near streams in mesic upper montane vine forest.
