Description

Rhizome filiform, sparsely hairy. Fronds 1–5 cm long. Stipe slender, 0.2–2 cm long, narrowly and inconspicuously winged, bearing long golden to red-brown opaque hairs. Lamina oblong-ovate, 2-pinnatifid with the lower pinnules often forked, 0.8–3.6 cm long, 0.8–2.5 cm wide; pinnae and pinnules overlapping; primary rachis with a flat wing. Ultimate segments 0.7–2 mm wide, obtuse; margins entire. Sori confined to apex of frond; involucre ±round, bilabiate, divided to the base, very shortly immersed, 1.8–2.2 mm long, 1.5–2.5 mm wide; laminal segments usually constricted below the sorus; margins flat and entire or uneven and crisped; receptacle included. 

Distribution

Endemic to NE QLD between Mt Boolbun and Eungella Range.

Habit and habitat

Lithophytic or epiphytic on tree trunks or logs in vine forest, fern forest or closed tropical rainforest above 800 m.
