Rhizome very short-creeping, 0.6–1 mm diam.; scales c. 0.4 mm long, pale brown. Fronds monomorphic. Stipes clustered, c. 4–15 cm long, half as long to c. as long as lamina, stramineous, reddish at base. Lamina 1-pinnate, narrowly lanceolate to linear, to 18 cm long and 2.2 cm wide. Pinnules mostly asymmetrically flabellate, shortly stalked, 4–12 mm long, 2.5–5 mm wide, closely spaced but not contiguous at middle and towards apex of lamina, more widely spaced and considerably smaller towards base, herbaceous; margins entire or subundulate-erose but not incised; veins anastomosing. Sori continuous; indusium 0.3–0.4 mm wide, not extending to margin, pale, subentire or slightly irregular. Spores trilete, medium brown, ±smooth. 

Endemic to the Thornton Range and Main Coast Range, NE QLD.

Terrestrial or in cracks at the base of large boulders in mesic upper montane vine forest.

The combination of short creeping rhizome, anastomosing veins and close spaced asymmetrically flabellate pinnae with continuous marginal sori distinguish this species from other Australian Lindsaea.
