Description

Main stems dichotomous, creeping, to at least 10 cm long, rooting at intervals and appressed to substratum. Leaves spirally arranged, densely crowded, absent from undersurface, erect, narrowly linear-triangular, 6–11 mm long, 1–1.8 mm wide at base, green. Strobiliferous branches erect, undivided; leaves strongly reduced, whorled or subwhorled, not overlapping; internodes 7–8 mm long. Sporophylls imbricate, spreading at maturity, ovate, acuminate; margins non-ciliate, lacerate. 

Distribution

Endemic to Cape York Peninsula from Bamaga to Olive River in NE QLD.

Habit and habitat

Terrestrial in oligotrophic wetlands in open woodland or heath.
