Dry forest, woodland, and grassy areas. Western Slopes, ACT, and tablelands.
Shrub or tree to 4 m tall. Branchlets with prominent resinous ribs, hairy with minute hairs. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 3.5-12 cm long, 2-8 mm wide, hairless, more or less resinous, with up to about 10 longitudinal veins (1 or 2 being more prominent), tips somewhat pointed with a mucro. 1 marginal gland near the base. Flower heads yellow, globular, 4-10 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), 2-5 mm in diameter, in elongated clusters of 2-9 flower heads. Flowers Winter to early Summer. Pods linear, shiny.
Family was Mimosaceae.
Regarded as indigenous and naturalised in the ACT. All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
