Woodland and shrubland, often on rocky slopes (e.g. Molonglo Gorge, ACT). ACT, tablelands, and the Western Slopes. One record from the ranges in Kanangra-Boyd National Park.
Tree or shrub to 10 m tall. Fleshy seed stalks/arils. Bark shallowly fissured and somewhat flaky to corrugated. Branchlets angled towards the tips, hairy to hairless, more or less resinous. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 7-20 cm long, 2-10 mm wide, green or bright green, hairless, with numerous faint longitudinal veins, usually only the central vein prominent, tips pointed with a mucro. Flower heads yellow, cylindrical, 10-35 mm long, in groups of 1-5. Flowers Winter to Spring.
Family was Mimosaceae.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
