Where found

Dry forest on sandstone. Blue Mountains and the tablelands nearby.

Notes

Shrub to 4 m tall. Fleshy seed stalks/arils. Branchlets somewhat winged, and angled or flattened at the tips, red brown, hairless. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, rather crowded, 4-10 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, more or less straight, hairless, midvein more or less prominent, tips somewhat pointed with a mucro. Flower heads creamy white or yellow, globular, 3.5-5 mm in diameter, 20-30 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), in elongated clusters of 4-10 flower heads. Flowers most of the year, mainly June to August.

Family was Mimosaceae.
