Where found

Dry forest, woodland, and heath. North and west from the Glenbrook area, about 50 km west of Sydney.

Notes

Shrub to 3 m tall. Bark smooth. Branchlets more or less cylindrical, hairless, dark reddish brown, with lenticels. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 7-20 cm long, about 1 mm wide, more or less rigid, straight to curved, cylindrical to more or less 4-angled or flat, surfaces hairless, somewhat glaucous, midvein more or less prominent, tips pointed. 1 marginal gland near the base. Flower heads yellow, globular, 3-6 mm in diameter, 20-30 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), in clusters of 1-3. Flowers June–November.

Family was Mimosaceae.
