Where found

Wet forest and rainforest margins and open situations, often near streams. Coastal north of Wollongong.

Notes

Tree to 25 m tall. Fleshy seed stalks/arils. Bark smooth. Branchlets angled at the extermities, hairless. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 2.5-6 cm long, 4-12 mm wide, hairless or very sparsely hairy, grey-green to glaucous, midvein prominent, tips pointed to blunt with a mucro, 1 prominent marginal gland 5–20 mm above the base. Flower heads white to yellow, globular, 3-5 mm in diameter, 7-16 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), in elongated clusters of 5-25 flower heads. Flowering: July–September.

Family was Mimosaceae.

Endangered population of Gosford Wattle in the Hurstville and Kogarah local government areas.
