Dry forest, woodland, shrubland, and heath. Coastal north from Ulladulla. Not been seen between Ulladulla and Sydney for many years.
Shrub to 3 m tall. Sharp-pointed 'leaves'. Bark smooth. Branchlets angled towards the tips, hairless, with obvious lenticels, becoming roughened with old 'leaf' scars. 'Leaves' scattered, often crowded, or clustered in groups of 2-3, 2-8 cm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, 4-angled, surfaces hairless and covered with minute warts, tips sharply pointed. Flower heads pale yellow to cream, globular, 12-30 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), 4-7 mm in diameter. Flowers Winter to Spring.
Family was Mimosaceae.
