Dry forest and woodland, often in rocky situations, often in gullies, on along streams, and near swamps. Western Slopes, Kosciuszko National Park. ACT, tablelands, and ranges.
Shrub to 3 m tall, sometimes sprawling. Sharp-pointed 'leaves'. Bark smooth with a more or less chequered appearance. Branchlets more or less cylindrical, resinous, hairless, not conspicuously ridged. Smaller branchlets often with prominent lenticels. 'Leaves' alternating up the stems, 1-3.7 cm long, 1.5-5 mm wide, more or less rigid, surfaces hairless, midvein prominent, tips with rigid sharp points. Flower heads yellow to almost white, globular, 30-45 flowered (easiest seen in late buds), 4.5-8 mm in diameter, single or paired. Flowers Winter to early Summer. Pods hairless, resinous.
Family was Mimosaceae.
