Almost exclusively parasitic on species of Casuarina and Allocasuarina in dry forest, woodland, and along streams. Coast, ranges, and tablelands north of Bermagui. ACT. Western Slopes.
Mistletoe. Branches to about 0.8m long. Plants attached to the host by a bulbous union. External runners absent. Fruit fleshy, sticky. Young stems hairy. Leaves clustered, 6-20 cm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, narrow cylindrical, hairy, becoming sparsely hairy with age, tips pointed. Flowers 15-21 mm long, pink and hairy outside, red inside, tips green, initially tubular, but the 4-6 petals finally free from each other to the base when the flowers are fully open. Flowers in 3-s (triads), the central flower stalkless, the lateral flowers stalked. The triads usually in 3's. Flowers most of the year. Ripe fruit downy, pink or red, round, 5-6 mm in diameter.
