Forest and woodland on species of Melaleuca. Coast and ranges north of the Nowra district.
Erect, compact, mistletoe. Fruit fleshy, sticky. Stems hairless. Plants attached to the host by a bulbous union. External runners absent. Leaves opposite each other, usually 2–4 cm long, 2–6 mm wide, tips blunt. Flowers red, 7–10 mm long, tubular, with 4 or 5 petals finally free from each other to the base after the flowers open. Flowers in 3-s (triads), the central flower stalkless, the lateral flowers stalked. Triads in clusters of 2-3. Ripe fruit red, round, about 4 mm in diameter.
