Dry forest, woodland, and disturbed sites. Tablelands, ACT, the mountains to the west, Kosciuszko National Park, and Western Slopes.
Introduced annual herb to 0.3 m high, or sprawling, often greyish green owing to the covering of long soft or bristly hairs. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.5–1.5 cm long, 4–8 mm wide, fan-shaped, lobed. Flowers to about 2.5 mm long, calyx with 4 triangular lobes, 0 petals. Spreading hairs on the body of the calyx and longer bristles on the striations up to and onto the hairy calyx lobes. Flowers in clusters of 5–7. Flowers spring to autumn. Seed cases green to yellowish green or light brown.
