Where found

Damp sites. Sporadic on the ranges and tablelands north from near Bundanoon to near Lithgow. Tablelands south of Lake Wyangala south east of Cowra.

Notes

Shrub to 2 m high. Branchlets stellate-hairy (needs a hand lens or a macro app on your phone/tablet to see). Leaves aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 0.4–1 cm long, 3–6 mm wide, tips rounded to more or less notched, margins slightly curved down, upper surface with scattered stellate hairs, lower surface stellate-hairy. Flowers yellow, outer surface rusty stellate-hairy, with 5 petals each 5–6 mm long. Flowers single. Flowers spring.
