Moist situations in forest and heath, and stream banks. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands.
Shrub to 2 m high, scrambling, often sprawling and tangled. Stems wiry. Young stems hairy. Leaves opposite each other, appearing simple and whorled, compound, with 3 leaflets each 0.3–1.5 cm long, 1.5–5 mm wide, with 4–10 teeth on each margin, tips pointed. Flowers pink, occasionally white, about 5–20 mm in diameter, with 5–8 petals. Flowers on stalks more than 5 mm long. Flowering: most of the year.
Family was Baueraceae.
