Where found

Dry forest, often in rocky sites. Ranges and Southern Highlands north from Tallowa Dam, Shoalhaven River.

Notes

Shrub to 2 m high, densely hairy with whitish stellate hairs (needs a hand lens or a macro app on your phone/tablet to see). Leaves alternating up the stems, 1–6 cm long, 3–7 mm wide, upper surface rough, lower surface white-tomentose; margins curved to rolled down. Male and female flowers on different plants or on the same plant. Flowers with 4-5 'petals'. Female 'petals' enlarging under the seed cases. Flowering: spring to summer.
