Forestwoodland, shrubland, and stream banks. Mainly ACT. Occasionally elsewhere.

Notes

Shrub to 3 m high with a short close whitish stellate tomentum, often becoming hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.7–2.5 cm long, 0.5–2 mm wide, margins rolled or curved down. Male and female flowers on different plants or on the same plant. Male flowers pale yellow, female flowers red. Flowers 4-5 mm long, with 5 'petals'. Flowers mostly single. Flowering: spring to summer.

All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
