Wide range of dry habitats. Mainly Western Slopes. Occasionally elsewhere.
Perennial herb, prostrate to erect, stems to 1m long or more. Stems hairless or hairy to sticky hairy. Leaves opposite each other, 1-4 cm long, 3-20 mm wide, hairy, sometimes sticky, sometimes sparsely warty on the upper surface, margins flat or sometimes slightly wavy, and entire or with small teeth, tips pointed, blunt, or notched. Flowers about 3 mm wide, pink, white or mauve, bell shaped, with 5 lobes, in clusters of 2–6. Flowers Summer to Autumn.
