Woodland, heath and shrubland, often on the edge of grasslands. ACT, the mountains to the west, and Kosciuszko National Park. Occasionally on the Western Slopes.
Shrub to about 2 m tall. Stems cylindrical, hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.15-0.4 cm long, 1.5-5 mm wide, more or less round, lower surface evenly hairy with white hairs, margins smooth or warty, with a pale rim. Flowers 5-8 mm long, pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel. Petals yellow, sometimes with pink tinges on the margins. Flowers Summer.
