Brachyscome salkiniae

Forest, woodland, and along streams. Coast and ranges south from the Narooma district.
Perennial herb, prostrate to weakly erect, branches to about 0.3 m long. Suckering. Hairless or very sparsely sticky hairy. Leaves basal and alternating up the stems, sometimes mostly basal, 0.5-8 cm long, 0.8-21 mm wide, diminishing in size up the flower stalks; surfaces green, hairless with occasional glandular hairs, margins toothed or lobed, occasionally entire, tips blunt or pointed. Flower heads with 12-29 mauve to pink 'petals' 7.6-11.5 mm long, and yellow centres about 5-7 mm in diameter. Bracts appressed to the flower heads 12-25. Flowers most of the year, mainly September to January.

Definite identification of most species of Brachyscome depends on microscopic examination of the seeds.
