Tufted perennial herb to 0.15 m high, stoloniferous, creeping, hairless. Leaves in basal clusters, 1–5 cm long, 1–3 mm wide, margins entire, tips finely mucronate. Flower heads 15-30 mm in diameter overall, with about 15-30 white to yellow, white above and pale mauve below, or pink 'petals', about 6-10 mm long; and yellow centres about 7 mm in diameter. Bracts appressed to the flower heads about 16-17. Flowering: Jan.–Apr.
Definite identification of most species of Brachyscome depends on microscopic examination of the seeds.
