Disturbed sites. Widespread. Mostly Sydney area, Canberra, and the Western Slopes.
Introduced annual herb to 0.45 m high. Stems densely covered with coarse appressed hairs. Leaves in a basal rosette and alternating up the stems, surfaces densely hairy, margins entire. Basal leaves 2–10 cm long, 2–15 mm wide, stem leaves alternating up stems, becoming shorter towards the tops of the stems. Flowers white to cream, 6–7 mm long, tubular, with 5 lobes. Flowers in clusters. Flowers Aug.–Feb.
