Rocky outcrops and margins of saline lakes. Mainly Western Slopes, and the coast and ranges south of Narooma. Occasionally elsewhere.
Annual or sometimes biennial herb to 0.5 m tall. Leaves somewhat fleshy, clustered at the base of the plant, 1.5-27 cm long, to 5 mm in diameter, narrower towards the tips, hairless, flattish in cross section, channeled, or almost cylindrical. Flowers yellow, with 6 'petals', each 4-7 mm long, in clusters of up to 35 flowers up the stem. Filaments of three of the stamens are much shorter than the filaments of the other three. Flowers Winter to Summer.
