Dry forest. Coast and ranges north of Nowra.
Shrub to 4 m high. Leaves sharp tipped, aromatic when rubbed, alternating up the stems, 8–14 cm long, 5–12 mm wide, lateral veins distinct, margins thickened, tips pointed. Flower spikes red, usually 90–100 mm long, approximately 50 mm in diameter. Individual flowers wih 5 petals. Flowers Spring to Summer.
Vulnerable NSW. Provisions of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 No 63 relating to the protection of protected plants generally also apply to plants that are a threatened species.
