Subalpine areas. ACT, the mountains to the west, Kosciuszko National Park, and tablelands south of the ACT.
Erect perennial herb to 0.3 m high, with a taproot. Basal leaves to 15 cm long, entire and spoon-shaped or sometimes compound, forming a more or less dense rosette. Stem leaves 0-3, alternating up the stems, 1–5 cm long, compound, becoming smaller in size up the stem. Flowers with 4 petals each 4.5–7 mm long, all white, pink, or white inside and pink on the outside. 6 stamens. Flowers usually in many-flowered clusters. Flowers spring.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
Endangered Vic. Listed in the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act, Vic.
