Dry forest, woodland and shrubland. Kosciuszko National Park and east to the tablelands south west of Cooma.
Shrub to 2.0 m high. Young stems with a dense white tomentum, occasionally with glandular hairs. Leaves alternating up the stems, cylindrical, 0.7–1.8 cm long, about 1 mm wide, margins rolled down almost to the midrib, upper surface mid-green, with sparse rough hairs particularly on the margins, midrib sunken, lower surface densely white tomentose including the prominent midrib, tips pointed. Flower heads 4.5–5 mm long; white to cream, with 4–5 florets, in flat or rounded clusters with 25–400 heads. Flowering: March–June
