Dry forest, woodland, and grassy areas. Western Slopes and ACT. Tablelands north of Cooma. Ranges mainly north from Morton National Park. Coastal mainly north from Jervis Bay.
Shrub to 3 m high. Stems olive or red, usually resinous and with spreading glandular hairs, sometimes apparently hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, 2–6 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, margins rolled down, upper surface hairless, resinous, or glandular and sticky, with 2 prominent parallel main veins, lower surface hairy except on the conspicuous midrib, tips pointed, margins rolled down. Flower heads narrow oblong to bell-shaped at maturity, 2.5–4 mm long, 1–3 mm in diameter, with 5 or 6 creamy-white florets, in a loose to dense greenish yellow pyramidal branched cluster 50–180 mm long, 40–60 mm in diameter. Flowering: most of the year but mainly summer–autumn.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
