Forest, shrubland, roadsides and rocky sites. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands.

Notes

Shrub or tree to 8 m high. Stems yellowish, greyish, or whitish, resinous, sticky hairy, with fine gland-tipped hairs. Older stems more sparsely hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3-12 cm long, 3–8 mm wide, upper surface hairless or slightly sticky, lower surface sticky hairy and with 3 prominent more or less parallel veins, especially at the base, tips pointed, margins flat or curved down. Flower heads white, oblong to bell shaped at maturity, 2.5–3.5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, with 3 or 4 creamy-white florets, in a dense cluster of 300–500 flower heads 60–120 mm in diameter. Flowering: summer–autumn.
