Introduced annual herb to about 1 m high, more or less hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3–7 cm long, 6–15 mm wide, margins usually entire, tips pointed. Flowers buff or salmon-pink, about 25 mm long, narrowly funnel-shaped with 5 spreading lobes each about 5 mm long. Calyx sticky hairy. Flowers in head-like clusters. Flowering: summer.
