Shrubby woodland, heath and moist sites. Coast, ranges, and the eastern edge of the tablelands, north from Ulladulla.
Shrub to 0.80 m high. Branches hairy to hairless. Leaves alternating up the stems, often crowded, 0.5–2.5 cm long, less than 1 mm wide, hairless. Flowers cream to white, 6–7 mm long, tubular, with 4 lobes. Flowers in branched clusters. Flowering: spring.
Intergrades with Conospermum taxifolium where populations overlap. Most of the plants in the higher Blue Mountains are intermediate between the two species.
