Robust herb to about 0.5 m high. The single flower stalk woolly, at least just below the flower head. Leaves basal and alternating up the stem, 4–25 cm long, 10–40 mm wide, limp, dark green, often shining, with scattered hairs; margins often densely hairy, tips blunt, bases broadly stem-clasping. Flower head golden-yellow, 15–35 mm in diameter, with up to 90 partial heads; partial heads with 7–11 florets with 0 petals. Flower head globular, single. Flowering: summer.
Protected NSW.
All native plants on unleased land in the ACT are protected.
