Forest in sheltered situations. Coastal north from Jervis Bay. Blue Mountains.
Shrub to 1.5 m high. Branches prominently angled. Leaves alternating up the stems, 3–6 cm long, 4–13 mm wide, tips pointed to blunt, with a small point. Leaves aromatic when rubbed. Flowers pink to purple or rarely white, with 5 petals each 12–20 mm long. Flowering: spring.
