Where found

Occasionally naturalised. Coast and ranges north from the Wollongong area. Planted in Canberra. Rarely elsewhere.

Notes

Introduced tree to 30 m high. Branchlets 4-angled, usually flattened, in 2-dimensional sprays. Leaves opposite each other, scale-like, 0.05–0.2 cm long, green. Male and female cones on the same plant. Male cones 4–8 mm long, globular. Mature female cones almost globular, 25–40 mm long. Cone scales 8–14, each with 8–20 seeds. Cones single. Seeds with 2 narrow wings.
