Shrub to 1.3 m high, sometimes scrambling. Branches sparsely to moderately hairy with much-branched and forked hairs and scattered glandular hairs. Leaves alternating up the stems, mostly 0.3–0.7 cm long, 2–4 mm wide, sometimes larger, tomentose. Flowers creamy-white, often tinged with yellowish green, with purple stripes, 6.5–11.5 mm long, almost hairless, tubular, with 5 lobes each 3–6.5 mm long. Flowers single or in 1–3-flowered clusters. Flowering: mainly spring.
