In shallow freshwater in a range of habitats. Widespread, mainly Sydney area and the Westrrn Slopes. Occasional elsewhere.
Annual or perennial herb to 1 m tall. Leaves at the base of the plant, 1.5-10 cm long, 10-40 mm wide, hairless, bases rounded to cordate. Flowers about 6 mm in diameter, with 3 white to pink petals 2-3 mm long, in whorls with a single flower open at a time, in open branched clusters. Flowers early summer.
