Heath and Casuarina thickets. Ranges and eastern tablelands between west of Ulladulla and west of Jervis Bay. Ranges west and south of Pambula.
Upright shrub to 1.5 m tall. Leaves aromatic when rubbed, opposite each other, 1.1-1.8 cm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, hairless, upper surface concave. Flowers with 5 curved petals, each 1-1.5 mm long, and 5 sepals 0.3-0.5 mm long, at the top of the floral tube. Floral tube 4.5-5 mm long, 1-1.5 mm in diameter, white turning pinky red, warty between the distinct narrow ribs. Style 7-8 mm long, white turning pinky red. Each flower surrounded by 2 red to purple-red bracteoles 3.5-6 mm long, which fall early. Flowers in clusters of 1-6. Flowers Spring to Autumn.
