Dillwynia acicularis

Dry forest on sandstone or occasionally on granite. Sydney area. Ranges and tablelands north of Braidwood.
Shrub to about 3 m high. Stems hairy. Leaves alternating up the stems, 1–3.5 cm long, narrow-linear, often triangular in cross section with a groove along upper surface, tips pointed, surfaces hairless or with some silky hairs. Flowers pea shaped, with 5 petals, 2 joined together to form the keel, yellow with red markings. Standard petal 7–9 mm long. Calyx abruptly narrowed at the base. Infloresence raceme-like, to 3 cm or more in length.
In all species of Dillwynia, the standard petal is much broader than long.
